教学目标:
通过本课的学习能认读、识别课本中六个国家及其标志性景点;
通过本课的学习能用英语介绍这些国家及其首都;
通过本课的学习鼓励学生拓宽视野,了解世界。
教学重难点:学习六个主要国家名称,首都及标志性建筑。
教学过程:
Step One Warm-up
S:One student’s daily report: Read and ask.
Ss: Listen carefully and answer the questions, try to win small prizes.
Step Two Lead-in
T / Ss: Free talk:
Would you like to visit some places during your coming winter holiday?
Where would you like to go travelling if you have enough time and money?
Do you want to travel around the world?(环游世界)
Step Three Presentation
Ss: Guess where Ms Tang would like to go in the coming winter holiday.
T: Showthe students some pictures of the landmark buildings and Introduce some famous places of
interest in foreign countries.
Ss: Watch the pictures carefully and learn to express some names of different places of interest in
foreign countries and their capitals.
Ss:Summary 1:
Do some exercises, try to remember the names of countries and capitals.
T: make sure the students can read them correctlly.
Step Four Practice
T: Show the students some more different symbolic buildings in different countries.
Ss: Make a a new conversation with deskmate, talking about going travelling.
Ss:Listen to classmates’ conversations, try to remember the key info. of the conversations.
Step Five Discussion
1.Talk about where they would like to live
2.Guess where would Eddie like to live.
listen to the conversation and answer the questions.
Where would Eddie like to live? Which restaurant does he like best?
Step Six Extension
Enjoy travelling! Enjoy the world! Enjoy your dream! Enjoy your life!
Step Seven
In-class test! Summary 2
Homework
1.Find some info. and photos about one of the places of interest you want to go most, introduce it to classmates tomorrow.
2.Finish the exercises in workbook.
